new gem release

A new release of the wavefile gem would be great! Not sure what the current plans are. Joel? Need help?

Hey James,

Thanks for the interest! I do plan on further improvements. The next things I'm prioritizing are:

• Ability to use buffers that have floating point data (i.e. samples between -1.0 and 1.0), with ability to convert between other supported formats. (This is actually in progress with some code already pushed).
• attr_readers on Reader/Writer for the number of samples read/written so far. Also ability to get this as a Duration object.
• Ability to read/write files with 32 and 64-bit floating point samples.
• Full API documentation, hosted somewhere such as GitHub Pages.

Help is always appreciated, anything you're interested in in particular?

Those seem like solid improvements. I think an all-ruby wavefile library is awesome, so I'm happy to help support it anyway I can. No preference really. If you have something in mind, you/I can open a new issue and assign it to me.

Do you plan on releasing a gem update when some/all of those are finished?

Cool, thanks! I definitely plan on doing a new release when those a complete (except for the API documentation, which I won't hold up the release for).
