Hi, @jstraub ,

Which ROS version should I choose to install this package? Hydro or Fuerte?

Honestly it has been a while since I last worked on this. Given the last commit date (April 20th 2012) I would try Fuerte or Groovy (http://wiki.ros.org/Distributions). Sorry that I cannot help you much with this. Let me know which one works so I can add it to the README (or send a PR with the changes!).
