I don't know if it's possible, but it would be nice to be able to address the white channel of RGBW-stripes as well.

Since you didn't get an answer, I can only tell you how I solved this.

In the WLED settings you can choose to calculate the white channel from the rgb channels, so ffffff actually turns on the white channel. Anything near that does so too, and sometimes it actually takes the white channel as extra in colours, which makes yellow for instance more yellow instead of green.
