Why animation of bars? #57

Hello Schuyler,

I wonder why you animated the bars, if the animation doesn't convey a message 
it is better not to have it. I suggest to have option to turn it off if 
possible.

Unfortunately, I am not able to change the animation on the progress bars other 
than switching between the "scanning" and "progressing" versions. The animation 
is fully operating system-dependent and I have no control over it.

Changing status to WontFix because it cannot be changed without switching to a 
fully-HTML progress bar.
