Does observation data change species richness of the ecoregions significantly? Or does it just support already recorded species composition in these regions?

Intended comparison: measure species richness with & without observation data inclusion. Use a t-test(?) to compare ecoregions and see if adding observation data effects results significantly.

More to add: Consider how spatial scale may effect this outcome, how digitization disparity may effect outcomes, and finally urbanized areas vs non-urban areas?
