Organize build/run process #7

  1. Add additional binary types to .gitignore
  2. Revise the makefile so that it builds objects separately as the first step and links all objects and libraries as the second step.
  3. Figure out how to make the run script universal.

This was mostly a trivial test ticket. Anyway,

  1. Added some incidental items
  2. Revised the makefile. Not sure what it does
  3. Decided not to track changes to the run script to prevent re-writing each others' work constantly.

Merging branch and closing this ticket.
