Markdown file improvements #8

As I was reading through the readme file, I noticed a lot of grammatical errors and also some markdown syntax issues, so that's what I tried to fix. This project is great and I believe the front-facing document should be as refined as possible. I didn't change any of the context, just fixed the grammatical issues
