Telemetry using Android phone (with optional ftdi code on phone) #597

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

What are the technical barriers in connecting an Android based phone directly
to the micro usb port on the APM using the usb-serial/ftdi interface?

Having complete control over the android based device might be required.

This would open up the possibilities for telemetry and even alot of other uses.

Almost all Android phones have bluetooth and this is the solution.

Bluetooth Modem - BlueSMiRF RP-SMA;

What is possibly not done so far by APM Development team is the application of
the GCS (Mission Planner for Android ).
