What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. try to set up the joystick?
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Joystick should work. Joystick doesn't work.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Newest Ardupilot download on a Win7 32bit. Joystick is a X-65F with separate
throttle control.

Please provide any additional information below.
The joystick setup can see the throttle but doesn't go all the way to 0 nor to
100%. It's low is about 10% with the high at about 80%. The setup doesn't see
the joystick at all! None of the buttons on joystick or the throttle work,
either.

I tested the joystick / throttle with the software that came with it, and
they're working fine. I can also fly in BF3, with everything working just fine.

I set it up with accompanied software. I used it while playing BF3. I
don't know of any way to calibrate it in windows any other way.

Is anyone looking into this? I would hate to have spent over $300 on a
joystick and throttle for no reason.

1) Go to "Configuration->Advanced, all parameters" tab and manually set all RC
axes to min:800 max:2200 trim:1500 dz:0.
2) Enable the joystick by going to configuration->planner->joystick. and check
the joystick input again.
3) If that has helped improve the ranges, you can then go to
configuration->radio and click "calibrate" to reset the correct limits.

Nb: Unplug your plane/servos firat! Restarting Mission Planner may be required
after steps 2) and 3) if it works but is over-sensitive. Joystick should be
calibrated using windows or your joystick provider´s calibration software and
drivers.
