APM 2.5 fails to boot unless some sort of telemetry is attached. #756

This is tested with APM2.5 and arduplane 2.40, 2.60, 2.61 2.62. 2.63.

If APM 2.5 is connected to USB, it boots, you see the red/blue leds flash
during gyro calibration - thinks are "normal".

When I power APM 2.5 differently than USB, (normal boot) - it will *only* boot
if something is connected to the telemetry port (the small 6-pin connector in
upper left corner.) Unless the APM's telemetry RX pin gets connected to for
example MinimOSD or 3DR Radio, the APM 2.5 will fail to boot, never forwarding
any servo output, and not getting as far as flashing red/blue during gyro
calibration.

I tried this with really many firmware versions, and several erase/factory
resets it's 100% reproducible.

I just tried another 2.5 - same firmware/config. and this is NOT a problem.
So this may indicate some kind of bizzare hardware malfunction.
Feel free to suggest what could cause something like this..

I've got the same problem. It's also compensating for the Yaw in the wrong
direction.

regarding YAW - you should just reverse that channel in APM.
