Downgrading Transmission to 2.33 #116

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

The Transmission found in ipkg repository is version 2.42. However, my favorite
torrent tracker allows only: 1.92 ,2.03, 2.04, 2.13, 2.22, 2.33.

Is there a way to downgrade the transmission client to 2.33?

maybe something like "ipkg -force-downgrade install transmission_2.33.ipk" but
replace the file name.

Unfortunately, there is no way to downgrade the Transmission. The thing is it
requires some depends, which were upgraded too.
Your issue seems a little bit strange. Sorry, but I can't understand how any
tracker can limit the version of download application...
You should save torrent file to your local machine. Then upload it using web
GUI or any desktop GUI to application in the router. Doesn't this work for
you?..

I have a similar issue, the tracker (for what ever reason) only allows
tranmission 2.03. They says the other versions "send bad data."

They seem to have done something with Tomato and Optware here to downgrade:

Is there any update on whether we can downgrade transmission?
