bonjour printer not seen on wireless network #136

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable NAT-UPnP and NAT-PMP under WAN-Interent Connection Setting Menu of
router.
2. Connect bonjour-enabled network printer (Brother MFC-9840CDW) to one of the
router's LAN ports with Ethernet cable.
3. Attempt to find and connect to printer from wireless Mac laptop (MacBook
Pro) by opening Print & Scan PreferencePane and clicking on Plus (+) Button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Printer listed in Add Printer window. Instead no printer is shown.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
RT-N56U_1.0.1.8d-p1 with Mac OS X 10.7.3 (Lion)

Please provide any additional information below.
Locating, connecting, printing and scanning from same Mac laptop connected by
Ethernet cable to one of the router's LAN ports works as expected. Unplug
cable, no printer - plug cable back in, see printer. Also everything works both
wired and wireless with Asus firmware FW_RT_N56U_1017f.

Try to set in http://my.router/Advanced_IPTV_Content.asp
Both 'IGMP Snooping' to 'Off'
'Enable multicast routing?' to 'Yes'

then reboot the device. Please let us know if this make sense.

Thank you for your prompt response and for your excellent software. Your
suggestion completely solved the problem. Printing and scanning wirelessly now
works as expected. It was not even necessary to reboot the router.

I think it is better to switch 'IGMP Snooping' on one of the channels. If you
stream media to DLNA using wifi, it works much faster. So, you can use a
channel without this option for Apple devices, and the other one for multimedia
streaming.
It depends on your needs and devices =)
Many thanks for response!
