How to setup WOL #168

I can't seem to get WOL to work.
I have updated to your latest p firmware and WOL works on LAN but not WAN after 
5 min. the latest update P3 says WOL is working and all we have to do is plug 
in a USB drive. however it doesn't seem to work for me. Is there a wiki or 
something?

I am currently using RT-N56U_1.0.1.8d-p3 with win 7 Ultimate

I have all of the necessary settings turned on/off

Plugging a USB flash is not enough, follow the instructions regarding how to 
install WOL.PY script here: 
http://code.google.com/p/rt-n56u/issues/detail?id=91 . I have it installed and 
WOL from internet works on my router and other people (as they said in that 
discussion).

Agreed, ive done what is recommended in issue 91 and WOL works but only for 5 
min on WAN. please create a wiki..

Sorry, only the admins of the project can do that. I'm just trying to help 
here... :)
@roge: You should disable green-ethernet in Advanced Settings->LAN->Ethernet 
switch. Also double-check that the green-ethernet feature is disabled on the 
computer(s) you're trying to wake (check the settings of the ethernet cards). 
If it worked for only 5 minutes then I think the green-ethernet feature is the 
cause, it's enabled.

Yea bluesurv i know that. And now ask urself to which i am talked, Sherlock 
(the project admin aka souldblader or padavan or the contibutors.But soul ever 
make the wikis so it was meant for him). But thanks anyway.
