Hello again, just would like to know if we still can hope to see new versions
of the custom firmware you guys have been working on it, here? :)

I just realized there's a new version of the original Asus firmware available
and I was wondering what you guys think about that.

The released version is the 1.0.1.8e and bring this:

ASUS RT-N56U Firmware version 1.0.1.8e
1. improve usb modem support interoperability
2. add GUI PPPoE+DHCP Connection setting
3. add GUI DLNA media server forced rescan setting
4. fix switch control bugs introduced in recent specific ISP support patches
5. fix effectness of firewall LAN to WAN filter second time range

Thanks for your hard work guys.
Cheers

As I understood, the work is going on rebuilding kernel, kernel drivers and
providing better interoperability for drivers and software... to solve
previously described bugs with transmission slots...

Great thanks for heroic deals!

Yes as said above. The team is compiling and integrating new Kernel. Maybe next
week we will see a beta release. It will in the first time fixing a lot of bugs
and later great features will added which made possible by the new kernel.
Please be patient. The custom firmware development is still very active.

Hello,
Before the main release there will be the release firmware with 'e' suffix.
Actually it will be 8d-p3 with small changes.
