Maria DB configuration failure

I see this message in Package Manager:

Please make sure your database accepts packages over 64 MB in size (it currently only accepts packages up to 16 MB). Please adapt the max_allowed_packet setting of your database in order to avoid errors.

Try to figure out how to make this config, I see in mariadb/Dockerfile a RUN command issued to configure /etc/mysql/my.cnf file.

But if I launch: docker exec -it docker-otrs_mariadb_1 grep max_allowed_packet /etc/mysql/my.cnf I see:

max_allowed_packet=64M
max_allowed_packet      = 16M
max_allowed_packet      = 16M

Sed command in Docker file should replace and not add max_allowed_packet in msqld section.

Did you actually read the /etc/mysql/my.cnf file ? it seems not, if you had done it you would have noticed that the max_allowed_packet = 16MB are for mysqldump and mysql_safe commands, mysqld is correctly configured.

In the [mysql] section I see max_allowed_packet=64M before "Basic Settings".

And a second max_allowed_packet = 16M 3rd line under "Fine Tuning"

I had time to take a second look and what seems to have happened is that on the switch from centos/mariadb to the official mariadb image, the config file changed and now max_allowed_packet was present, and this image adds that var instead of looking for it first to modify it instead.

Reopening but as it is a low priority will not work on this in the near future. PR's are welcome.

I would like to create a PR, but instead of using the my.cnf with sed I will add a new file like /etc/mysql/conf.d/my-otrs.cnf , as this is the recommended way in https://hub.docker.com/_/mariadb This will also prevent issues like this one.
