Re-installing the extension seems to have fixed the issue for me.

I have the same issue after upgrade to 12.0.742.112. MacOS X 10.6.8
I reinstalled the stable version (1.7.0) and the most recent trunk(r104) from
source, Both of them not works.
Settings always return to some state.
In my corporation environment, Internet and intranet have different proxies.
The only way I can do is changing back to Firefox now.

I'm having I think the same issue with Chrome 12.0.742.112 on MacOS X 10.5.8
(Intel). When I try to change the mode to Auto Switch it changes for a few
seconds, then reverts to the mode it was in before. I also will have to go
back to Firefox if this can't be fixed.

I have the same issue with Chromium 12.0.742.112 on Ubuntu 11.04. Re-installing
doesn't work for me.

I have the same issue with Chrome 12.0.742.112 on Windows 7 Enterprise.
Plugin reinstalling has not solved a problem.

Windows 7 64-bit, Chrome 12.0.742.122, Proxy Switchy 1.6.3

the dll mentioned near the end fixed it for me on 12.0.742.112 and it still
works after upgrading to 12.0.742.122
