After more time than I would like to admit, I figured that reinstalling Firefox was the solution. Reinstalled as per here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/89638/how-to-completely-uninstall-and-reinstall-firefox I thought there might be something wrong with my Firefox when I was getting the profile error on the simplest Selenium tutorial: https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/selenium-python-introduction-and-installation/
Got the issue a second time. Uninstalled snap firefox as per: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1414173/completely-remove-firefox-snap-package
installed .deb package of firefox as per recommended firefox documentation: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux?utm_source=www.mozilla.org&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=firefox-download-thanks&_gl=1*ykxs4r*_ga*OTk5MTA1MTcyLjE3MjQ4NDc5MjQ.*_ga_MQ7767QQQW*MTcyNTg0MTA2NC4xLjEuMTcyNTg0MTA3MC4wLjAuMA
Code now works again.
Next time it acts up I hope a simple upgrade from apt will solve it :frowning:
When running the main script, I get this popup:
