Protein deficiency statement needs source. #7

Source needed for this statement:

"Protein deficiency is almost unheard of in the developed world, and when it happens, the underlying cause of the protein deficiency is a calorie deficit."

This protein post is already out there, currently being copy edited by IN, and this statement slipped by without a reference.

Thanks arunamjfa. I removed the "Help Wanted" tag. The difficulty in this one might be in finding a single source for both ideas, ie

  1. Protein deficiency is rare in the developed world.
  2. When it happens in the developed world, it's because of a calorie deficit.

If it can't be a single source, two will do.
