notifications are not sorted in chronological order in the notifier dropdown #1

while signed in as user 2, i commented on user 1's blog in the river, and then added user 1 as a friend. both notifications were added in realtime to the notifier dropdown. however, the timing/ order in the list was incorrect, the friend request was listed as occurring before the comment - whereas the events had occurred the other way around.

In case of notifier the end product would consist of three plugins:

Notifier
Generic Push server/Websocket plugin that communicates with the server
Plugin (live_notifier) that extends notifier's default behavior by registering notifier as a client for the communication feature and updating the received data to the notifier UI

If the communications plugin is designed well, it can be used with any plugin that needs real-time updates: notifications, chats, collaborative editing, etc.

I think I might be able to make a simple technical draft of the communications plugin during Christmas holidays.
