[& characters] KML files won't open on Google earth. #133

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Sync a batch of images (NEF or JPG)
2.Doubleclick on doc.kml
3.Get error message (invalid token)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect: Google Earth opens and displays route map
See: error message "Parse error at line 156, column 18: 
     not well-formed (invalid token)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Gpicsync V. 1.30 
Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1  (64-Bit)

Please provide any additional information below.

Occurs on different directories shot with different cameras.
Was working OK until a few weeks ago. 
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Gpicsync.

Thanks for your detailed feedback. 

The problem lies with the filenames containing "&" characters. There are not 
authorised as is in XML/KML documents.

I will make changes in the code to integrate them (replacing & with &) in the 
next version. In the meantime if you can avoid the "&" characters or do the 
change manually in your text editor.
