Could you double check on this one? I'm fairly sure I've fixed this recently. If it is still an issue, could you give me an image link and specific steps to reproduce? From what I see, clicking the "x" still resets the view but simply editing a text field does not reset the view, it should gracefully let you continue editing without destroying your metadata or moving your scroll wheel.
Hi, Julian
This seems to work fine now -- not sure of the particular
circumstances where we noticed this before (Monica was having trouble with it, but it seems to be good now). However, clicking down or up to the next image in a folder, or clicking back and forth between Data and Analysis mode still resets to the top -- can that be made to hold the place? One often would want to compare the two entries back and forth in the course of comparing two related images or doing Analysis mode editing.
Thanks!
D

In editing metadata fields that are normally off the screen at the bottom, upon closing the edit, the screen resets to the top, causing one to lose the place in the editing sequence. What is needed is for the editor to be able to click the next box in the edit sequence to close the previous edit and open the new one, with the screen (and cursor) moving up 1 box if it is at the bottom [this mode for editing is the one that follows next after a bulk copy-paste of all the meatdata that are held in common by one set of images, when metadata specific to the individual images need to be added.
