Problem or misuse? (Samsung S20 FE) #40

Hello everyone,

I'm having a tracking problem. Here is my configuration: Samsung S20 FE / Android 13 / One UI 5.1 Phonetrack app with all permissions operated with personal Nextcloud instance (up to date)

The problem is the following even though I do not change the settings in the Phonetrack application: some of my trips are perfectly logged, others are very poorly logged. This results in traces on the maps which are most of the time large lines between 2 points.

PS: While writing this message and looking at the map of my last trips published here, I wonder if the logs are not good only if I have active guidance on the phone (i.e. active Google maps).

It's a misuse, sorry ! My phone was My phone was generally in power saving mode without me being fully aware of it. It therefore seems that in this mode, if a guidance application is active (Google maps for example) then the track is correct. On the other hand, otherwise the collection of points seems unpredictable even though the application itself has all the rights. Sorry for this misuse but it might reveal something interesting. Congratulations again for this very very good application.
