The demographic analysis will help to populate the list of communities for this.
When we get there, perhaps I can organize a phone conversation with folk in the Urban Sustainability Directors Network that are in the InterMountain West to get thoughts and suggestions
(i noticed this was accidentally closed and reopened - great to see all the ideas Missy!)
So, I'm thinking the ONE PAGER (and associated press release and launch of MWCSP website) is most associated with this task. We'll be able to use the list of partnerships and individuals gathered thus far in the matrix (along with existing media contacts) to make our initial communications. I'll set up a task list for the related set of action items on 7 and 8a for us to work from.
Task 8. Identify more climate champion through surveys and snowballing. Using the preliminary network map in Task 7 and climate vulnerabilities identified in Task 2, we will a) contact existing collaborators, contacts, and known actors in the region to identify people that fit the profile of a climate champion, and b) send survey instrument to City and County Clerks and Recorders. As demonstrated by Kalafatis and Lemos (2017), this strategy enables the pinpointing of proactive individuals working to make change in particular policy or issue areas within a community, which may not be who one would identify by looking at an organizational chart for a municipality or utility. We will ask the Clerk to identify one or more individuals in the community (working within our outside of municipal or regional water providing entities) that are the most active in considering or leading responses to risks to the water sector.
