doesn't work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.rooted epic 4g
2.put my u@h, l/p
3.enabled it
4.checed 'whatismyip.com' and i'm still showing as a sprint ip
5. socks dynamic is enabled

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
my ip is still my sprint mobile device. i expect to browse the web behind my 
ssh server, and using the rooted android phone's "iptables" support..it does 
not work. either that or instructions to get it working are not clearly 
outline. I'm pretty advanced, and  _thought_ i set it up correctly.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

samsung epic 4g, android froyo 2.2, rooted

that is incorrect. i am able to run android-wifi-tether, but since it only 
supports poor wep encryption i want to also run this behind it..as more 
security. perhaps they cannot run together?

of course you cannot use this with other apps also based on iptables, like 
droidwall and wifi-tether
