A few things, which IMHO don't deserve separate issues.

A better way to hide nobreak-space, works with any theme and is not global: :hook (fb2-reader-mode . (lambda () (setq-local nobreak-char-display nil)))
Belarusian splash text: "Ідзе загрузка, калі ласка, пачакайце." (Added "please", like in other languages)
auto-mode-alist specification: "\\.fb2\\(\\.zip\\)?\\'"

Thanks, nice additions! Regarding first - I think I'll add fb2-reader option for that (something like fb2-reader-hide-nobreak) and set it to 't by default.
