There is org-roam (for Emacs Org-mode).

Notable has linking between markdown files and I use it to do the exact same thing as in Roam.

The only original thing I see in Roam is the reference sidebar. Apart from that it is essentially an internal wiki?

The unique feature for me is the the ability to effortless link articles with a graph structure.

It doesn't contain the graph structure but I recommend BulletNotes for a Roam/Workflowy alternative.
