tested with qlab 4 but no luck... any hope of an update?

Sorry, I haven’t used QLab in years so probably not! If it still has AppleScript hooks you should be able to modify the script to work though.

Oh never mind, this used osc, not AppleScript! It’s been a while.

The OSC interface may have changed in QLab 4. I have no idea.
