TrackIR 5 doesn't start with XPlane

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. My TrackIR lights up and performs fine during setup
2.  I install to xplane and quit ltr GUI
3.  Xplane will run but the LEDs never light up on the TrackIR (and thus, won't 
work in general)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Normally, the LEDs light up sometime during the start-up of x-plane.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mac version; OSX 10.8.3

Please provide any additional information below.
This only happened when I upgraded to the new XPLane.

Hello,
it is possible, that the XPlane starts in 64bit; if you haven't used the 64bit 
plugin (see 
http://code.google.com/p/linux-track/downloads/detail?name=linuxtrack01_mac.zip)
, please download it and follow the instructions on the download page...

If you did installed it and the XPlane plugin still doesn't work, can you 
check, if the plugin's menu appears under the "Plugins" menu of XPlane?

I have the same problem, I try to install the 64 bit plugin but I can't do it, 
I can't  rename the existing xlinuxtrack9.0.dylib file, I can not even delete 
it.

Hi,
try Apple+i on the file and look for permissions - see if you are an owner of 
the files/ directories... If you are, see if you can change the permissions to 
gain the write access.

Just to be sure - you did install the linuxtrack, or was it other user? And did 
you upgrade the system (like from lion to mountain lion...) since you installed 
it?

I have no permission to write, that means I'm not the owner of the files,I 
installed the linuxtrack from my admin account, I have not given any upgrade to 
the system, I have the late 2012 iMac 27 inch, OSX 10.8.4.

OK, that means, that you'll have to do the plugin install from the Admin 
account too...

I did it from the administrator account, is the only account that I use,I don't 
know what happen,I don't know why said that Im not the owner of the files.

That is interesting, nobody reported anything alike so far...

You might try this: try to delete, move the ltr_gui somewhere else (different 
directory) or at least rename it; download the installation .dmg again and try 
installing it fresh, then install the 64 bit plugin.

This is not going to trash preferences, as they are located somewhere else and 
it shouldn't cause any problems whatsoever.

PS. If you can't remove/move/rename the original ltr_gui, just put the new one 
somewhere else and be sure to open it up and save prefs - that should take care 
of re-basing the whole thing... Then you can deal with the bad one later.
