random file corruption when changing solid block mode multiple times #349

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. create an archive (lots of various files; sizes from 200b to 3Mb+) with
your desidered method (eg: -m1) and setting solid block to: size 8mb
2. create archive
3. recompress archive with same method and modify solid blocks (every step is
done to same archive, one after the another) to :
   a. -s500f
   b. -s8mbf500
   c. -s;8mbf500
   d. and so on... like above, scrambling options
4. after some solid block change (< 6 attempts) there is a CRC Fail for at
least one file OR a damage to the archive

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Change of solid block Done without errors

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
FreeArc 0.67 December 12 2012
Windows 7 X64

Please provide any additional information below.
Creating new test archive with protection (1%) and post-creation-test does not
help.

closing FreeArc and reopening archive for new solid block change does not help.

i tried to extract a corrupted file and it seems ok, strangely.

Due to private/work files, i had to remove files from log. sorry.
