No effect using PreComp/external compressors with Freearc

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Selected files I want to compression
2. Selected compressionmethods: -mx
After several time I got my output file with a size of 2GB (input was about 4gb 
huge).
3. Selected the same input and tryed to compress with Compressionmethode 
Maximum (-mx) and selected PreComp (-mc$default,$obj:+precomp)-
The output has exactly the same size like the output used -mx
I don't think that this is normal; I noticed this everytime tried using precomp 
(normal, intense and/or jpeg mode).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected to create a smaller output.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using FreeArc Alpha 0,67 from December 2012.
Operating System:
Win 7 Home Premium x64 SP1
2x4GB DDR3 RAM
Intel Core i5 - 2500k CPU

Please provide any additional information below.
I got the same problem using SREP, hope thats not just a user error...

i suggest you to use encode.ru forum for support. overall, it may be because 
you have not copied executables to the PATH or your files don't contain data 
specific for these preprocessors

Thanks for the fast answer; I need to copy executables? I gonna register to 
encode.ru forum ;-). Though this here is for support/errors? I'm sorry.
If you need a translator for the german parts You can mail me. I allready 
helped to translate huge text's in a team; probably I can help that way.

thank you, atm german translation is supported by the veteran freearc user

you need to check that srep.exe and precomp.exe are in your PATH. this site is 
for reporting bugs, of course you may not know whether it's a bug or your 
error. usually it's better to ask on the forum first since other users can 
anwer you better/faster than me
