CSipSimple crashes on startup on Dell Venue 8 (model Z3480)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install CSipSimple (market or nightly as of early Mar 2015)
2. Start CSipSimple
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

A dialog saying "Unfortunately CSipSimple has crashed" or some such thing, 
occasionally you'll get the actual dialer screen etc, but will continue to get 
warnings about CSipSimple crashing (as if the service is crashing but not the 
UI?)

What version of the product are you using? On what device / operating
system?

Android KitKat 4.4.4 stock ROM for Dell Venue 8 version 3840, with Market 
version of CSipSimple or recent nightly.

Please provide any additional information below.

This device uses an intel Atom processor, perhaps there's something special 
about that?? Just a thought.

I am facing exactly the same problem. I am using Asus Zenfone (Intel atom 
chipset) and android version is 4.4.2

Same problem, market version, Android 4.4.2 and an Asus Zenfone 5 (Atom 
version).
