Hey!

i am opening this issue to collect ideas, suggestions, feedbacks and requests around JunoUp.

Idealy this would open a convo in a more readable and non forgetable format, so i can track wishes and ideas and try to make them work for everybody.

Since we had a first preview of the alpha of the tool on discord many issues and concerns and ideas were brought forwards, but it would be nice to have one place where we can all share and take inspiration from.

** Just adding my comments from the related ticket for visibility purposes.

From a pipeline side, all that matters to me are the files that get dragged into our ingest tool follow the shows file-naming spec. How we want to get there is up to you guys. For ingest, we do not need anything created in hubble prior to the files being ingested, So long as the file naming is formatted correctly the ingest tool will automatically create the seq/shot/task/version/juno file as needed, or if it already exists it will simply create/update a version and create a junoFile.

So for me biggest thing is avoid adding any extra manual steps in that process.

As an extra note we probably don't want to reject uploads unless something is actually corrupted or something. It probably be better in say a situation where an artist is working until 3AM looks to upload and if it doesn't pass whatever potential validation checks that are in place (if any) maybe we can flag that package and let the artist know "hey this has X issues, continue or manually fix?" they could continue, letting our side in the morning get it and see oh this has X issue we can resolve and continue forward. vs an artist not being able to upload and getting stuck waiting until the next day for us to review with them, and then have to wait for a new upload.
