Thank @SebastienBoutry , I agree with you! rphylopic is an excellent alternative!!

But DiatoViz was developed with ggpath which brings some advantages. Moreover, right from the outset, our goal was to create something specific to diatoms, utilizing the omnidia code to visualize species.
