Follow-up to #67 to also implement pausing for parallel algorithms

[ ] Implement internal early-stopping for parallel algorithms
[ ] Ensure parallel algorithms correctly set their progress, max time and sync times to account for pause + resume
[ ] Implement config file output on pause for parallel algorithms
