@DTAIEB Here's the attempt at a README cleanup I promised. I offloaded the part about how to add support for new widget libraries to the wiki for now with a link to it in the README.

I still have more to write on the wiki page, but here's the initial bits: https://github.com/jupyter-incubator/dashboards_server/wiki/Widget-Support

@parente thanks for writing this up. I suspect [2] will be easier to support provided that we have a well defined mechanism for adding new custom js libraries
