This hopefully should explain a bit why we are not going with . everywhere.

Yes, but with the switch to myst rendering the static generation (papyri render) is broken for now.

As the JupyterLab extension is part of the grant, I'm hopping that once it's in a better shape and I understand Javascript a bit better we can "just" reuse it outside of JupyterLab.

Also if/when the rich/textual rendering work, we can also have a rich-in-browser website 😄
