Does this happen with the xeus python kernel as well?
I have recollection xeus pyhton was also unstable when I did tests maybe in August / September in advance of possible October student use, but it seems much more reliable now. But certainly there's no way I could make a pyodide environment available to students at the moment.
OK thanks for the feedback. Moving to the Pyodide kernel repo then.
I am running a current JupyerLite environment with two kernels available, xeus-python and pyodide. Notebooks opened that use the pyodide kernel regularly hand with a kernel status: unknown display.
I cannot sytematically reproduce this, but it happens more than it doesn't and I can't systematically get the kernel to start and connect properly,
