2 years ago No just has the default bundled ones. Using with my emby drive synced to library, was working fine would play library files. And used to search youtube. All others I had disabled. So if no local file found it would pop up with play you tube, or search you tube. Yes have api keys etc in you tube. it plays fine. Just started today. I couldn't figure out why so left it alone for now.

2 years ago Sorry I wiped it and started from scratch. All is good until I sync emby next gen. Then it hangs -- eventually it does go so I believe it is the large database (30,000+ items) Not the end of the world , just thought it was nice to do a you tube search if i wanted more videos then just a trailer etc.

And here we have the answer. Retrieving and then searching a database of 30,000+ items is going to take time.
Please download latest git version (4.4.24) and in TMDbHelper settings and disable all the Kodi library look-ups:
General > Get additional details from the local Kodi library database = Disabled
Players > Play local Kodi library files = Never
You'll need the 4.4.24 version I just pushed to set play local files to never, which should solve your slow down issues because it will skip the checking for a local file.

What would be cool..is if you could use embycon search and if it didn't find anything a secondary search ... YouTube ... Or something.
You can already configure fallback players for any player in the configure players dialog
Players > Configure players > Select player > fallback > Select fallback player
Make sure to press "Save" after configuring the player.

2 years ago Ok set it to fallback. If it is not on embycon it doesn't go to fallback..get tmdb error.
If it is on emby them it shows the resaults .. hit escape/back then it rolls to fallback and does as expected

Also, the fallback is a different issue. Can you please let me know if the new option solves your hang issue.

2 years ago Updated to 4.4.25 but it would not save the reconfigured player file. Had to go in and manually delete the reconfigured players folder and then it worked fine after configuring the players.

2 years ago If you need to change the player configuration -- have to delete the reconfigured players folder every time for some reason.
You can click "Reset to defaults" in the player config to revert the file before making changes. It's just the fallback because the setting is two levels deep so it doesn't register as a change to the parent level and doesn't save -- all the other settings should save correctly when changed. Anyway should be fixed now.

Hangs on it no matter what -- just recently started today. Was fine yesterday, only thing that shows updated was TMDB TV Shows meta addon. No extra players just default. And yes tried the 4.4.23 latest.
