Feature description

Hi Jurial, I don't know if it's possible, but it would be amazing to have a dedicated backup/restore system for Fuse.

Why is this feature needed? Please justify and explain.

Because in fact, we can quickly find ourselves building an interface for dozens of hours. And then new possibilities are available to us through your updates, and we would like to try new things, but we don't go there, for fear that it won't work and we have to rebuild everything.

Another reason why a backup system would be a good thing. I have a bug in the Kodi system regarding bookmarks/chapters, which requires a system reset. Unfortunately, solutions like the Backup addon do not work, either it restores everything (the bug with it) or it does not restore the Fuse settings. The ideal would therefore be to be able to restore only the Fuse configuration (Categories, Widgets, reading list, Fuse parameters, etc.).

Or, it would make it possible to replicate the work of other machines with other OSes.

That would be exceptional.

You can backup your settings by copying the addon_data folders for the following:

kodi/userdata/addon_data/skin.arctic.fuse
kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.skinvariables

I can't find these folders on Windows.

@Bindou01 Additionally I have an old addon on my system called something like Skinvariables skin backup.

I believe it is from marcelveldt repositiory, from the time I used to use Auramod. It is able to backup a skin. I haven't used it in a while (I started to backup skin by copying folders instead) so it may not be working or applicable.

I tested the technique suggested by Jurial and it works. It's great ! Well only problem, I still have my bookmarks/chapters crashing bug.

Have you ever tried using OpenWizard I've been using it for about 4 years only for this feature, backing up my builds and restoring anywhere I want.. it works with v21.0 as well
