Here's something that I'm not quite sure is a glitch or intended behavior
When 'Content Up' is set to 'Search', once the cursor starts blinking on the search bar (before the virtual keyboard pops up) I can't seem to reach the 'Discover' icon on the left even after pressing the left arrow key/button on my remote. This happens when the search bar is empty with no items underneath.
Once you search for something and have a few results below, you can click Down from the search bar > Highlight an item > then click Up again to reach the 'Close' and 'Discover' icons.
I usually switch between 'Search' and 'Discover' mode by clicking that icon which pops up on the side view with all the filters but it's difficult to reach that icon in the search hub.
This issue persists even if I change 'Content Up' to 'Bump' and have a dedicated 'Search'/'Discover' hub as a sidemenu item.
The only way I've found to circumvent this issue is to use my LG Magic remote (sort of like a motion control remote) to bring over the selector to that icon as arrow keys fail to do so.
