No red highlight on upcoming recordings widget while currently recording. #38

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Turn on upcoming recordings widget.
2.  Stay on the home screen and wait for a scheduled recording to start.
3.  Observe the pretty red highlighted text indicating that the recording is in 
progress.
4.  Navigate away from the home screen.
5.  Return to the home screen... notice that the pretty red highlight is 
missing.  Where has it gone?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The pretty red highlight should stay on for as long as the recording is 
running, and then go away when the recording is complete.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Gemstone 1.014 on Windows 8 Release Preview

Please provide any additional information below.
I think I had live widgets turned on when I replicated this, but I think I've 
seen it with it off as well.

I checked the code and it seems to be working as far as I can tell.

Let me know how you are navigating away and back to the Home screen.  Try 
returning to the Home screen by both Home and by Left and see if it make a 
difference as it might be relating to seeing the screen from history vs a 
refreshed screen.

Mine is stuck on last nights recordings. I cannot figure out where this is 
stored. You can look at at the attachment. I have had many recordings since 
last night.

PS I have rebooted restarted I even deleted the Sagetv directory and 
re-installed ... this is a client btw

Can you set the Gemstone Log to DEBUG (In Options/Utilities/Log Options) and 
restart and if the list is still old please send me the logs..

I need the sage logs in the SageTV root folder (sagetv_0.txt or 
sagetvclient_0.txt) as well as the Gemstone log in the logs subfolder under the 
SageTV root (called Gemstone.log)

You can also try  increasing the number of rows displayed on that widget and 
see if it starts refreshing.  Three is the default I believe.

I played with it a bit more last night.  What happened was that the show was in 
the Upcoming Recordings display, and it was highlighted when the recording 
started.  When I navigated away and back (left-arrow) what I saw was that the 
recording was no longer in the list at all...  This is probably what happened 
the night before too, but all of my upcoming recordings were of the same show 
so I couldn't tell.

The show also wasn't appearing in the "Recent Recordings" list either.  
Shouldn't it be in either one or the other?

Yes, mine show in one or the other.  I have seen briefly during the transition 
from upcoming to recent where it shows in both and then it will refresh and 
only show in recent etc..

I played with mine last night and it was working as expected, seems like a 
screen refresh issue but not sure why.

What's a good way to force a refresh?  Do the widgets all update at the same 
time?

Ok, I've confirmed that in my case, the issue seems to be that the currently 
recording airing isn't showing up in any widgets.  I've confirmed this on my 
HD200, HD300, and on the client running on the server.  I've attached a 
screenshot taken while Sage was recording "House Party".  I don't think it's a 
screen refresh problem because the screenshot was taken immediately after I 
booted up the software.

Just saw this happen and the MyTV plugin was correct.  The Recent Recordings 
widget was not showing the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives "red" item at the top of 
the list.  See screen caps.  Something is different between the MyTV and the 
Widgets, might be a place to look.  You have to catch a upcoming recording 
change to a recent for it to happen.  It doesn't even show up after restarting 
the UI on my client though but it is still there in the MyTV.  Also the MyTV 
seems to have a different list of Recent Recordings than the Widget version...

I just confirmed that my recent recordings listed in the widget are not the 
same as what is listed in my "All Recordings" TV view or in the MyTV Recent 
Recordings. Something is off there.

I checked the code and there is no background refreshing of any of the lists in 
the widgets so that is likely the problem and is correctable.

I will check it out.

The problem is that only first runs are being show even though it is set to 
both first runs and reruns.

Fixed in 1.017

Lists will be refreshed every 5 mins or on return to the Main Menu.

First runs issue - if enabled for some lists - has been fixed as well
