Top OSD visible option #41

Using HD 300

Again I apologize if this is not a bug. This refers to the OSD feature. The
top part of the OSD indicating the movie information etc... is only showed when
"Info" is selected on the remote. When you pause a movie the OSD is not shown.
This might be the expected behaviour but I think the OSD should also appear
transiently when pause is selected.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

Normally the top OSD comes up when you hit CTRL + I, or hit enter on keyboard
or Ok on remote. Play/pause only bring up the lower OSD to show your location
and this is standard.

The current "Top OSD Visible/Hidden" option is all or nothing and for people
who don't want the very basic info popping up when watching a movie or recorded
tv that doesn't have chapters etc.

Just to make sure I understand, are you asking for an option to show the upper
when the lower is activated with play/pause and not just with the info button
or ok/enter during playback?

Yes...that is what I meant. From what you are saying it seems that the current
implementation is standard and correct. I guess I was just expecting to see
the top OSD when pause was selected. If this is the standard then I wouldn't
change it....I just thought it may have been an oversight. Cheers
