This is an odd one. I just tries on my test client and all good here.
The scroll bar is only part of our custom screens so I don't think another
plugin would cause this.
I'll let plucky comment.

You must be sorting by title as that Is the only way the scroll bar can work.

You guys might want to make that limitation clear. It would be great if this
feature would work with other sorting options as an option (Toggle
disable/enable A-Z scroll bar). I don't think there would be any negative
side-effects; and, significantly increasing productivity for other sort options
(ie, when sorting by newest movies first, but also have the option to quickly
jump to a movie that starts with a certain letter within seconds!)

You can do it with multiple sorts no way no how when they aren't in
alphabetically sort you can't jump to a letter it would be pointless and random
what movie it would jump to. It is pretty clear to me.

above should say you can't do it with multiple sorts.

Okay, I understand what youre saying.
I should have probably been more specific...
Many people who choose non-alphabetical sort orders, still need to sometimes
quickly refer to a movie based on name. I have a suggestion that would
increase productivity/functionality without interfering with the way things
work currently (but I'm sure it would be a PITA to do).
Suggestion:
If you're in a non-alphabetical sort order... when you press "Down", that would
imply that you want to temporarily look for movies based on alphabetical order
(showing an A-Z scroll bar). The sort order would temporary change to "A-Z"
until you press "select/enter" for the movie you're looking for or when you
exit the menu; reverting back to the user-defined sort order.
I dont think this would cause any confusion to the user; and, increase
productivity for quick/temporary alphabetical name lookups. This is the only
way I can think of to have best of both worlds.
Anyway, just a suggestion. What do you guys think?

I'm not interested in jumping to a letter/number in a list thats sorted by
release date or year, id be more apt to scroll through those list.
The following enhancement will make a pretty complete solution and actually get
you to a specific movie in those randomly sorted lists,
