End User Confirmation Request without "pin" attribute fails

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Send an End User Confirmation Request to a client that doesn't include the 
"pin" attribute

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Since the "pin" attribute is listed as optional in the XSD, it shouldn't be 
mandatory. However the client generates a NullPointerException if it isn't 
present.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
client version 2.3.7
