Alternative 1: Stay with current plugin

_ ➖ extremely slow.. it already takes 15 seconds to compile 3 locales with very little content

➕ It works ¯(ツ)/¯
- ➖ Can't compile on GitHub

Alternative 2: Switch to another plugin

➕ Seems like its a bit more mature
➕ Good support with octopress/pagination plugin

Alternative 3: Roll your own

➖ Might be hard to get working right? Pagination etc..
➖ More to maintain
➕ Flexibility
➕ Compilation speed
➕ Less magic

I took a stab at this and the benefits in performance were minor, so lets stick with what we have for now.
