[bug](macOS): rofi defaulting to dmenu after entering a query

Describe the bug (Theres a high chance im missing something here but im too dumb to realise it) Rofi defauts to drun after entering a query in rofi for a movie/show

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Run lobster in terminal with image preview on and use external menu on
2. Search for a movie/show (when I checked terminal 1 while I was waiting for the next step I saw 5 icon fetcher warnings with failed to load image "object" no such file or directory however terminal 2 just kills the process.
3. After waiting for about 10 seconds x11 shows back up with a drun screen (if terminal 1) or the process is killed and I dont see another window pop up (if terminal 2)

Expected behavior It should show either another search screen to specify the season and episode or just open up mpv/iina

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• macOS (sadly)
• Currently using chrome
• macOS version is 14.4.1

Additional context I do have a sketchy python path as I am using pyenv for all of my projects but when I installed rofi via macports it rebuilt python and I think its using its own path that isnt my pyenv one. Also I am very new to x11 and rofi please be patient. The 2 terminals im referring to are cool-retro-term and the default macOS terminal respectively.

Rofi can be used on mac via x11 (I have a feeling this same thing can be replicated over to termux too). I have tried again and now the window pops up but when selecting a show/movie to watch it just exits. The following is the video and debug respectively:
