Sequence disappears from the playfield #1

When holding SHIFT and placing stones, the entire sequence sometimes disappears.

If you place a stone right after the sequence disappeared, it reappears again.
If you wait for ~15 seconds, the newly placed stone will start a new sequence, and the first one will be removed from the chat input window.

Happens even if you place stones quickly one after another. Looks unintended.

Tested on Chrome 51.0.2704 and Firefox 47.0.

There is logic to prevent the board from refreshing when the sequence is held. There's a bug there that I haven't quite traced down. But it's this refresh that's causing the sequence to disappear.
