Loading r2 saves crashes E:S #6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load an r2 save.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The game crashes.  It shouldn't.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

Test save now loads smoothly.

Fix in git (f3ea10f) and SVN (r557).
