Fault tolerance test #328

This PR finally adds the fault tolerance tests, which I have developed for my Master thesis 🚀

@georg-schwarz In the last meeting, you mentioned that the fault tolerance tests should be optional, so PRs can be merged even with non-passing fault tolerance tests. This can be archived by adjusting the Require status checks to pass before merging option under Settings > Branches > Branch protection rules

Seems that closing and reopening the PR solved the issue with the cla check.
