Long I2C cable #23

@jerabaul29 Have you ever had issues with I2C over long cable distance? I read everywhere that is an issue. I attached the SDA and SCL wires of the temperature probe (not the GND and VIN) to a 7 meter long wire each, and it seemed to be measuring fine.

but do you think that is necessary? The under-ice sensors can be 3 meter from the logger....

I do not have experience with this, I have used very little I2C before and only over very short range. But as you say this is a known problem, so I would think it would be a good idea to have one of these breakouts in the design. It would be very little work to incorporate it anyways, and it is pretty cheap, so would be sad to have problems that we can avoid using it :) .
